Manages program to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives.\n\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS\n\nResponsible for all decisions relating to cost, quality, technical issues and schedules. This includes review and approval of all direct program purchases, as well as the review and management of weekly labor reports, NCR’s and shipments.\nDirect “line” authority for the Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians assigned to him/her.\nDirects Technical issues associated with the project.\nGenerates Weekly Status Reports for program team, management and customers.\nHolds weekly Program Review Meetings with direct reports plus Engineering, Purchasing, Contracts and Operations.\nReviews all contract changes for Cost and Schedule impacts and ensures incorporation into the customer’s Purchase Order.\nDirect customer communications as needed, including written correspondence, teleconferences, reviews, customer visits, etc.\nGenerate closed Program Reports, explaining variances to budget and schedule.\nBid and Proposal support, including Estimating Workbook, technical write-ups, etc.\nSelects personnel according to knowledge and experience in area with which program is concerned.\nConfers with staff to explain program and individual responsibilities for functions and phases or program.\nDirects and coordinates personally, or through subordinate personnel, activities concerned with implementation and carrying out objectives of program.\nReviews reports and records of activities to ensure progress in accomplished toward specified program objective and modifies or changes methodology as required to redirect activities and attain objectives.\nControls expenditures in accordance with budget allocations.\nEnsures program history is archived (photographic, MID’s, all program documentation).\n\nSKILLS • EXPERIENCE • EDUCATION:\n\nRely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.\nMust have strong interpersonal and communication skills.\nHave good technical writing and computer skills.\nMust have some Technical Aerospace Structural background.\nAssociate level should have a bachelor’s degree or 5 years’ experience in related field.\nGeneral level should have a bachelor’s degree plus 5 years’ experience or a total of 10 years’ experience in the related field.\nSenior level requires a bachelor’s degree plus 10 years’ experience or a total of 15 years’ experience in the related field.\nSome travel is required.\n\nADDITIONAL INFORMATION:\n\nThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
