Job TitleBiomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) – Level ILocationBangor, MEDescriptionThe Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) - Level I is responsible for performing routine and complex maintenance, calibration, and repairs on a wide range of biomedical equipment. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. The technician will also provide training and support to junior staff and clinical users.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesConduct routine and complex maintenance, calibration, and repairs on biomedical equipment.Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions, utilizing schematics and technical manuals.Ensure all biomedical equipment meets safety and performance standards.Document all maintenance and repair actions in the equipment management system.Provide training and support to junior technicians and clinical staff.Collaborate with manufacturers and vendors for technical support and equipment updates.Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new biomedical equipment.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Perform other duties as assigned.TravelTo be Determined.Work ScheduleMonday-Friday, 0630-1500 or 0700-1530On call, as required.QualificationsAssociate or bachelor’s degree in biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or a related field, or DoD BMET School Graduate, Active AAMI ACI credential.1 year of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair.Advanced knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and computer systems.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and equipment management systems.CertificationsCertified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) preferred.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods.Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordinationWork EnvironmentThe work environment may involve exposure to hazardous materials and situations that require following safety protocols and protective equipment.Pay Range$ 41,600.00 - $ 52,000 Annualized$20.00- $ 25.00 per hour.Benefits401K Employer MatchingPaid Time Off (PTO)HolidaysHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceEmployer-paid Life InsuranceEmployer-paid AD&D InsuranceEmployee-paid voluntary benefitsEmployee development resourcesEqual Opportunity EmployerCapital i is an equal opportunity employer.
