Job description
GBC Advanced Materials is seeking an experienced person for CNC Set up/Operator in Latrobe PA. Setup, and operation VMC’s and Lathes.
You will be responsible for:
Setting up and operating of a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and precision grinders to make ceramic parts, to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
Interprets prints, sketches, engineering specifications, and work order instructions for each operation.
May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Design & Build simple fixtures as required to meet product conformity.
Complete routine machine maintenance.
Perform to commitments regarding on-time delivery and completion of projects.
Participate in safety improvements and initiatives as requested.
Maintain high ethical standards for conduct.
Work collaboratively with fellow employees.
Willing to work reasonable overtime as needed to meet customer and department demands.
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Good problem-solving skills.
Basic Shop Math.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Experience working with CNC machining. HAAS Control experience is considered an asset.
Previous Ceramic machining experience is considered an asset.
Read and write G-Code.
CAD/CAM Experience
Experience with Fusion 360
Salary is up to $35.00 per hour, DOE
