The Coding Coordinator works with the Coding Manager and physicians to ensure timely, complete documentation. Third-party suppliers must complete assignments per the Master Services Agreement and related Statements of Work.\r\nWork Model & Salary\r\n100% Remote\r\nThe pay range for this position is $32.02 (entry-level qualifications) - $49.62 (more experienced) The specific rate will depend upon the successful candidate's specific qualifications and prior coding and leadership experience.\r\nEssential Functions of the Role\r\n\r\nActs as a service area liaison between Baylor Scott and White Healthcare, providers, and third-party suppliers. Eliminates roadblocks, resolves issues, achieves optimization, improves processes, and develops cost-saving measures.\r\nUse key performance metrics to track services for areas of responsibility. Monitor supplier compliance with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Critical Performance Indicators (CPIs).\r\nEffectively communicates findings of potential issues to Manager or Director.\r\nAssists in the development of policies, procedures, and standard processes for areas of responsibility.\r\nEducates physicians, clinicians, and others on coding, guidelines, and documentation improvement. Works with physicians to ensure accurate and complete documentation.\r\nAssists in the development of materials utilized in educational activities.\r\nReviews and stays abreast of new regulations and coding guidelines.\r\nMay perform routine coding quality reviews on coders and/or auditors including third-party suppliers as needed.\r\nMaintains and protects the confidentiality of patient protected health information, serving as a role model by demonstrating effective customer relations.\r\n\r\nKey Success Factors\r\n\r\nExpertise in ICD-10 diagnosis and CPT procedural coding.\r\nCritical thinking skills to review documentation and apply coding and documentation guidelines.\r\nOutstanding communication skills to keep others well informed and encourage open dialogue.\r\nAbility to perform in a team environment.
