Makes sure heat codes do not get mixed at the lines and that all boxes have tags and pieces counts on them at the lines, wheelabrators, and shears. At the wheelabrators the material handler ensures that correct parts are being put into the wheelabrators. Responsible for taking the box from the wheelabrator and places it on to the scale and fills out new tag with weight, pieces count, part, and box number.Hourly pay range: $19.15 - $22.25Essential Functions:Make sure parts are put away into proper areasDumps flash bins at the end of shiftWorks well with supervision and co-workersEnsures line, wheelabrator, and shear boxes are changed in a timely mannerChecks that heat codes do not get mixed at the linesEnsure boxes are stacked properlyEducation and Training:High school diploma or GEDForklift experience helpfulMinimum Qualifications:Ability to read English and follow verbal and written work instruction.Forklift Certification and other material handling equipment as needed.Good verbal and written communication skills.Basic math skillsAbility to work well with others.Ability to read work orders and packing slips.Computer literacy in order to record information.Demonstrated dependability and adherence to all safety rules and regulations.Physical Demands:Ability to twist, bend and lift repetitively.The ability to drive a forklift continuously for 8-12 hours.Ability to lift to 20lbs repetitively.Acceptable eye/hand coordination and motor skills to carry out job functions.Environmental Conditions:Exposure to loud noise.Exposure to hot and humid conditions.Double hearing protection and eye protection is always required in all production areas.Steel toe boots with metatarsals are always required.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
