Candidate will be required to understand and document systems design and implementation that encompass multiple enclaves, to include those with differing data protection/classification requirements. The candidate should understand distributed architecture and cloud-based systems for big data applications.\n\nThis position is 100% onsite.\nResponsibilities:\nCreate, review and edit authorization documentation for completeness and accuracy in accordance with federal and DoD policy.\nThoroughly understand and be able to implement DoD RMF system accreditation processes.\nAssess use case and operational risk of integrated open source, and GOTS/COTS software components.\nWill use vulnerability management systems, automated security scanning tools, and system accreditation record systems.\nMust be able to grasp new concepts, facilitate information exchanges for data gathering, and collaborate with diverse audiences.\nWill follow established processes where applicable and establish and execute defensible processes where none are prescribed.\nProvide security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management support.\nRecommend system-level solutions to resolve security requirements and guide the development team in meeting the security posture requirements.\nSupport the Government in the enforcement of the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.\nMust apply existing knowledge of IA policy, procedures, and workforce structure to design, develop, and implement secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.\nMust be able to interact well with others to complete work.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications:\n9+ years of experience as an ISSE with large multi-tiered programs and Bachelors in related field; OR 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.\nExperience implementing DoD system accreditation processes (DIACAP acceptable and RMF preferred).\nA working knowledge of TCP/IP suite of protocols and services, computer architectures, and network topologies is required.\nExperience with DISA STIGs and SRGs, vulnerability management systems, mitigation and compliance processes, and reviewing results from automated security scanning tools.\n\nSECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the minimum Secret level.\n\nPhysical Demands:\n\nMust be able to lift up to 25 pounds\nMust be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time\nMust be able to twist, bend and squat periodically\n\n#LI-MN1","company":"Bowhead","rawCompany":"bowhead","city":"Corona","state":"CA","isRemote":false,"isActive":false,"createdAt":"2026-07-15T15:42:43.306Z","occupations":[{"code":"15-1212.00","title":"Information Security Analysts","slug":"information-security-analysts"},{"code":"15-1299.05","title":"Information Security Engineers","slug":"information-security-engineers"},{"code":"15-1299.08","title":"Computer Systems Engineers/Architects","slug":"computer-systems-engineers-architects"}],"industries":[{"code":"541512","title":"Computer Systems Design Services","slug":"computer-systems-design-services"},{"code":"928110","title":"National Security","slug":"national-security"},{"code":"541690","title":"Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services","slug":"other-scientific-and-technical-consulting-services"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"ISSE","description":"Overview:\nBowhead seeks an ISSE.
