Desk Nurse (Medical Assistant) DermatologyLockhart Matter Dermatology is seeking a highly capable Desk Nurse (Medical Assistant) to serve as a key point of contact for our patients and providers. This role is critical to maintaining smooth clinic operations and delivering an exceptional patient experience.We are looking for a strong, confident, and tech-savvy candidate who can manage high call volume, handle complex patient interactions, and support clinical needs when necessary.Key Responsibilities:Manage and triage all incoming patient calls, including high-volume and complex/difficult situationsProvide accurate information, guidance, and follow-up to patientsCommunicate effectively with providers regarding patient concernsPerform suture removals of all typesAssist with clinical tasks and fill in on the floor as neededCoordinate scheduling needs and patient flow supportAssist with surgery schedulingDocument patient interactions accurately in EMRMaintain professionalism and composure in a fast-paced environmentWhat We're Looking For:Dermatology experience requiredMedical Assistant certification/experience requiredExcellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and stay organized in a high-volume settingStrong multitasking and organizational abilitiesComfortable handling difficult patient conversations with professionalismTechnologically proficient (ModMed/EMA EMR, Klara systems, phone systems, multitasking across platforms)Team-oriented with a positive, solution-focused mindsetReliable and adaptable in a dynamic clinic settingWork Environment:In-office position (not remote)Fast-paced, high-volume dermatology and Mohs practice that is growingCollaborative and supportive team cultureBenefits:Medical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance401(k)3 weeks paid time off (PTO)7 paid holidaysIf you are organized, efficient, and thrive in a fast-paced dermatology environment, we want to hear from you.
