The Electrical Engineer leads all aspects of electrical systems design in a collaborative high performance team environment to accomplish the successful completion of assigned projects.\n\nVital Functions\n\nDevelop scopes of work from the feed of business development efforts through design, construction & commissioning.\n\nEmbed ‘lessons learned’ into each new project through collaboration with our construction and operations teams so that each consecutive project is delivered better than the last.\n\nDevelop SiTESPAN’s reputation as an electrical engineering thought leader, in complex technical projects; as perceived by the client.\n\nJob Description\nThe following is an overview of the responsibilities this position but does not represent the full breadth of activities:\n\nDesign of power, lighting, fire alarm and other low-voltage systems\n\nCarry out conceptual design studies\n\nElectrical calculations, drawings & specifications\n\nEnsuring project deliverables comply with appropriate design codes and legislation\n\nPerform engineering studies including coordination, arc flash and thermal feeder analysis\n\nSite visits and data collection (travel is required)\n\nAssisting with delivering design and general engineering projects\n\nAssisting with bids and proposal documents as required to support the Engineering Manager as appropriate.\n\nTechnical quality control checking of the team’s work\n\nTechnical management of electrical vendors and sub-contractors\n\nProvide project team leadership\n\nOther related duties as assigned or needed\n\nThis job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the job and the general nature and level of work performed. This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of qualifications, skills, efforts, duties, responsibilities or working conditions associated with the position.\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering\n\n5-10 years of electrical design experience\n\nRegistered Professional Engineer (PE)\n\nAbility to travel to project sites as needed\n\nPrefer construction company background with a portfolio of data center/mission critical, Telecom and DC Power facility types\n\nCandidates should have broad experience in interdisciplinary coordination on projects preferably in the industries of data center/mission critical facilities, food and product process, pharmaceutical, and central plant design. This position requires a high level of fluency reading plans, specifications, and related project documents. Key competencies are initiative, communication, teamwork, and managing for results.
