Our goal is to give our clients the greatest construction experience possible from start to finish by being truthful, knowledgeable, experienced, communicative, on time, clean, safe, and reasonably priced.Position OverviewThe Roofing Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive cost estimates and proposals for roofing and related construction projects. This role conducts site visits and takeoffs, develops material and labor pricing, coordinates with suppliers and subcontractors, and delivers clear scopes and proposals that support profitable project wins. The estimator will work closely with sales and project management to ensure bids reflect client requirements, regulatory compliance, and company standards.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct on-site inspections and detailed measurements/takeoffs for roofing and related construction scopes.Prepare clear, accurate estimates and bid proposals including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.Obtain, evaluate, and compare quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to develop competitive pricing.Develop detailed scopes of work, line-item budgets, and proposal narratives for clients and internal stakeholders.Use estimating software and spreadsheets to build and maintain estimate databases, templates, and historical cost information.Collaborate with sales, project managers, and operations to clarify project requirements and ensure estimates align with constructability and scheduling considerations.Attend pre-bid meetings, job walks, and client appointments to gather project information and present estimate details.Ensure estimates meet applicable codes, safety requirements, and company standards while identifying potential risk items and contingencies.Track bid opportunities, maintain bid status logs, and analyze win/loss outcomes to refine estimating approach and accuracy.Support project handover by providing detailed estimate documentation and clarifications to the project team upon award.Qualifications3+ years of estimating experience in roofing and construction; proven track record preparing accurate residential and/or commercial roofing estimates.Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, installation methods, and construction site practices.Proficiency with industry estimating software and advanced Excel skills for takeoffs, cost modeling, and reporting.Excellent measurement and takeoff skills, with the ability to read drawings, specifications, and roof plans.Strong written and verbal communication skills for client proposals, subcontractor negotiations, and internal coordination.Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.Valid drivers license and willingness to perform site visits and job walks.Ability to identify risk factors, propose appropriate contingencies, and maintain profitable margins.Commercial roofing experience is a plus and will be considered a valuable asset.BenefitsPTO401K
