Platform Engineer

Platform Engineer Rate: DOE Position is remote to start, then after conversion to W2, moves into one of three offices: Nashville, Los Angeles or New YorkBasic Qualifications · Must have bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent field· Minimum 4 years of cloud experience in infrastructure and CI/CD at scale· Minimum 2 years engineering experience in roles as Infrastructure Engineer, Software Engineer, SRE, etc.· Development background is a big plus· Expert knowledge and experience with automation· Experience with cloud infrastructure (Networking, Compute, Security, IAM, Configuration, Automation, etc.)· Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, etc.)· Scripting with languages like bash, etc.· Experience with container technologies· Experience with data platforms such as MySQL, MSSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch and Redis· Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, etc.· Experience with Application Portfolio tools (Dynatrace, DataDog, ELK, etc.)· Constantly verifying and reducing infrastructure cost when optimizing the system performance· Knowledge of Enterprise scale software development and release management· Experience in system backup and disaster recovery· Provide day-to-day support to developers in production and CI/CD triage· Excellent written and verbal communication skills· Strong system-level analytical and troubleshooting skills
