You will work closely with production, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to keep projects on track, improve equipment performance, and sustain reliable operations in a fast‑paced environment.\nResponsibilities\nLead and support capital equipment projects across multiple machining and assembly areas, ensuring scope, schedule, and deliverables are clearly defined and met.\nPlan and manage projects by gathering and comparing quotes, coordinating with machine tool vendors, and preparing complete Proforma packages for purchase order creation.\nPull and analyze machine and equipment performance data, identify trends, and prioritize CNC wellness actions to improve uptime, quality, and throughput.\nLead structured root cause and corrective action activities for equipment failures, process gaps, and production bottlenecks, driving sustainable solutions and documentation.\nProvide day‑to‑day production support by evaluating rejects, reviewing CNC offsets, and identifying emergent improvement projects to stabilize and optimize operations.\nManage project tracking files, dashboards, and communication updates to keep stakeholders informed and ensure equipment upgrade deadlines are consistently met.\nCoordinate with vendors and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle, including quoting, technical discussions, and purchasing system workflows.\nCollaborate closely with machining, assembly, and operations teams to align capital projects with production needs and minimize disruption during installations.\nSupport installation and commissioning activities within tight windows, helping to plan, schedule, and follow up on tasks required for successful start‑up.\nBalance multiple concurrent projects and priorities while maintaining organized documentation, schedules, and project status reports.\nEssential Skills\nEngineering background in a manufacturing or industrial setting, with practical exposure to production environments.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including vendors, quotes, purchase order workflows, and associated tracking documents.\nExperience in CNC machining, assembly operations, or high‑volume manufacturing environments, strongly preferred for this role.\nAbility to analyze machine performance data, interpret trends, and convert insights into prioritized action items and improvement plans.\nProficiency with structured problem‑solving methodologies such as root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).\nExperience working with vendors and suppliers and navigating purchasing systems to support capital equipment projects.\nStrong organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail in project scheduling, documentation, and follow‑through.\nFlexibility to support overtime, including approximately 10 hours per week and up to 25% additional time during peak project periods.\nEffective communication skills to interact with production teams, technical staff, and external stakeholders.\nAbility to work both on the production floor and in an office environment, switching between hands‑on support and analytical/project management tasks.\nAdditional Skills & Qualifications\nbackground in manufacturing engineering or related engineering disciplines is beneficial.\nExperience with capital projects and CAPEX processes, including planning, justification, and execution of equipment investments.\nFamiliarity with project scheduling tools and methods to plan timelines, milestones, and resource needs.\nComfort working within high‑volume OEM environments and supporting engine or component manufacturing operations.\nStrong analytical mindset and data‑driven approach to decision‑making and continuous improvement.\nAbility to build collaborative relationships with cross‑functional teams and external partners to move projects forward.\nAdaptability to aggressive timelines, tight installation windows, and changing priorities in a dynamic plant setting.\nJob Type & Location\nThis is a Contract position based out of Brookpark, OH.\nPay and Benefits\nThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.\nEligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
