Working closely with attorneys, practice leadership, IT, finance, and client stakeholders, the LPM ensures alignment with firm strategy, operational excellence, and client expectations. In addition to project execution, this role serves as a strategic partner in advancing legal operations maturity, supporting matter management discipline, and portfolio governance across the firm.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & ExecutionDefines project objectives, scope, schedule, budget, and success metrics in partnership with sponsorsDevelops project charters, detailed workplans, and delivery roadmapsLeads geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams to deliver outcomesExecutes projects across multiple delivery models, including Agile, hybrid, and traditional frameworksLeads coordinated delivery across testing, deployment, and adoption readinessStakeholder ManagementServes as a strategic partner and key point of contact for stakeholders, including Practice Group Managers, Shareholders, and Executive LeadershipCommunicates project statuses, risks, and issues to leadership, translating challenges into actionable plansFacilitates stakeholder meetings, training sessions, and team engagementsPortfolio Management & GovernanceManages the intake, triage, and prioritization of operational initiativesDrives and influences portfolio-level planning, prioritization, and executionDelivers executive-level reporting leveraging data to inform decision-makingDevelops annual roadmaps in collaboration with Practice Group and firm leadershipLegal Operations & Matter ManagementDrives adoption of matter management best practices, including structured planning and resourcing modelsDevelops and implements standardized templates, playbooks, and workflowsCollaborates CompetenciesExtensive experience managing full project lifecycle (initiation through closeout)Strong understanding of law firm economics, including utilization, realization, leverage, and pricing dynamicsExperience supporting profitable matter delivery, balancing client expectations with financial performanceProven ability to translate complex legal and business challenges into actionable strategiesExpertise in applying AI, automation, and technology to legal workflowsExperience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent)Strong analytical capabilities with ability to interpret legal, financial, and operational dataDemonstrated success managing complex, multi-project portfolios in fast-paced environmentsDeep experience with change
