This partnership has enabled us to continue the BILSTEIN tradition of excellence.\nYour responsibilities\nShift: 3rd Shift - 11:00 PM 7:15 AM (SundayThursday, OT on weekends as needed)\nPay: $17.00/hour + $1.50/hour shift differential\nThe Tugger is responsible for efficiently transporting materials throughout the plant, ensuring timely deliveries of Kanban orders and reservation pallets to support production needs. The role also involves managing waste and recycling, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining accurate material flow in alignment with operational goals.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nMaintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same.\nPerform Kanban deliveries based on operational demand, ensuring materials are delivered within expected timeframes to support production requirements.\nDeliver reservation pallets to designated areas in alignment with production schedules, adhering to timing expectations for optimal production flow.\nEnsure the timely movement of WIP and materials, maintaining production pace and meeting operational needs.\nDeliver materials on time and within the required timeframe to ensure operational goals are met.\nManage waste and recycling by emptying totes, disposing of cardboard, and dumping scrap hoppers within one hour of the request to maintain a clean and organized environment.\nEnsure that all waste is handled according to safety and environmental standards, minimizing disruptions to operations.\nOperate the Tugger and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently, transporting materials throughout the facility.\nSafely navigate and transport materials to designated locations, ensuring materials are properly handled and stored.\nComplete daily Material Handling Equipment (MHE) inspections to ensure safe operation of the Tugger and other equipment.\nSupport inventory accuracy by delivering the correct materials to designated locations based on the reservation and Kanban system.\nEnsure all material deliveries and movements are in alignment with production schedules and operational priorities.\nWork closely with all team members to ensure seamless material flow and meet operational needs.\nParticipate in team huddles and communicate any concerns related to material movement or operational challenges.\nMaintain a strong working knowledge of plant layout, tug routes, and customer-specific dunnage requirements to optimize material flow and delivery efficiency.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area by following the principles of 6S and demonstrating optimal workplace standards. Identify and adhere to the work area’s Optimal State document(s), ensuring compliance with safety and operational expectations.\nConduct and document daily Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Inspections to ensure safe operation and report any concerns promptly.\nComplete 100% of required monthly safety training on time, applying learned principles to daily work.\nExhibit Plant Hamilton core valuesincluding accountability, teamwork, and leadershipin all tasks and interactions.\nAdhering to the work schedule as assigned, including arriving to work and being ready to work by shift start time, to ensure operational needs to the business are met.\nFoster a positive work environment by demonstrating motivation, teamwork, and collaboration with colleagues.\nPerforms all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nYour profile\nQualifications & Experience:\nPrevious basic forklift experience with ability to obtain a license and operate various forklifts (order filler, stand-up reach, scissor lift) preferred.\nPossesses a stable work history and a strong personal desire to work safely and maintain a safe working environment.\nDemonstrates a strong customer focus along with a great work ethic and willingness to do what needs to be done.\nDemonstrated knowledge of basic math, including working with decimals, and strong mechanical aptitude.\nPossesses a logical method of problem solving and willingness to learn and improve one’s skills.\nDemonstrates a strong commitment to meet and exceed customer requirements at all times.\nMust be able to work required overtime that can be substantial during peak customer production periods.\nMust be able to lift heavy objects (up to 40 lbs.) with or without reasonable accommodation.\nPossesses good hand-eye coordination and is able to perform detailed work with a strong attention to detail and quality.\nGains satisfaction from team accomplishments and takes pride in one’s contributions.\nDemonstrated reliability, good initiative, committed, and quality focused.\nHighly organized with ability to work independently as well as part of a team.\nExhibits integrity through fair and ethical behaviors in all activities; maintains accountability for performance.\nStrong attention to detail with well-developed organizational and communication skills.\nProven experience developing work processes to improve outcomes for the team/customers.\nEducation:\nHigh School Diploma or G.E.D. and be able to read, write, and speak in English.\nThe [above] is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
