The Material Handler will also ensure both physical and systematic movements are executed anytime material/parts are moving from one location to another.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.\nWorks with peers to coordinate movement assembled parts and/or products to the next step operation\nPerforms picking/pulling transactions via Scanner.\nUnload, receive, and store raw materials and supplies.\nWorks with Accounting / Shipping to resolve shipping and receiving discrepancies.\nVerifies that materials are received in accordance with packing slips and Purchase Orders (POs).\nConsolidates and organizes of all stocked materials and makes space for incoming materials.\nAdvise Inventory personnel on items missing identification.\nFollows safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment as required\nMaintains equipment and work areas; cleans and performs basic repairs as needed.\nOther duties may be assigned.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nNone\nTravel\nNone\nQualifications\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required\nPossess basic arithmetic skills\nPossess knowledge of personal computers skills.\nMinimum of 1 year of experience using RF Scanners.\nMinimum of 1 year of experience operating Stand-up/Sit-down Forklifts, Electrical Pallet Jack, and Cherry Picker.\nUses equipment to lift or move sheets of metal, felt and other material.\nCommunication and people skills; team player willing to learn.\nAbility to work in a manufacturing environment (i.e., ability to wear required PPE, work in a dusty, hot, non-climate-controlled environment; with stairs, frequent walking, standing and lifting of material).\nAbility to work off shift hours in support of plant initiatives.\nMust be able to demonstrate proficiency in operating stand-up forklift, Electrical Pallet Jack, Cherry Picker and Sit-Down forklift.\nPhysical and Mental Demands\nThe physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This role may use standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines in a limited capacity. No PPE is required.\nPlant Environment - This position operates in a manufacturing setting and can be subject to extreme cold and hot temperatures; uneven walking surfaces with cords, tools, and other obstacles; intermittent loud noises; and dusty/dirty conditions. Where applicable PPE is required.
