He/She performs physical, fast-paced environment involving continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages.\nJob Duties\nWork:\n· Part-time: 3-5 hours per day, 5 days per week\n· Ability to work varying shifts, additional hours and/or overtime depending on service needs\n· Report to work on a regular and timely basis and complete the scheduled workday on a consistent\n· basis\n· Bend, stoop, crouch, squat, climb, stand, walk, and turn/pivot\n· Assist in moving packages weighing up to 150 pounds\n· Lift and lower packages while \"unloading\" at a rate of 700 to 1300 packages per hour and while \"loading\" at a rate of 500 to 1000 packages per hour\n· Grasp and maintain control of packages\n· Read label information\n· Perform tasks using simple hand grasping, fine hand manipulation and reach associated with assigned\n· tasks such as paperwork, use of a computer or other data device, including hand-held scanners\n· Operate powered equipment including extended belts and loading devices\n· Handle non-powered equipment including TOFC rollers\n· Have a sufficient ability to communicate, through sight, hearing, and/or otherwise, to perform assigned\n· tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions\n· Work at elevated heights, in enclosed spaces and on uneven walk surfaces\n· Work in an environment with:\n· variable temperatures and humidity\n· exposure to dust, dirt, and noise\n· enclosed work area\n· Work cooperatively in a diverse work environment\n· Demonstrate cognitive ability to:\n· follow directions and routines\n· work independently with appropriate judgment\n· exhibit spatial awareness\n· read words and numbers\n· concentrate, memorize, and recall\n· identify logical connections and determine sequence of response\n· process up to 2-3 steps ahead\n· Perform other functions that may be assigned\n· Ability to operate 4-wheel motorized vehicle safely, maintain ramp certification and possess a valid driver’s license\nOther Duties\nThe essential functions of this job may vary depending upon the specific characteristics of the UPS facility, including size and location.
