Job DescriptionJob Summary: The Quality Inspector inspects the workmanship of protective garments and accessories for defects in cutting, sewing, and finishing. Essential Functions:Inspection of Materials and Products:\n\nInspect raw materials, components, and finished products for defects or deviations from specifications.\nUse measuring tools and equipment to ensure precision and accuracy.\nConduct visual inspections and functional tests to evaluate quality.\n\nDocumentation and Reporting:\n\nRecord inspection results and maintain detailed reports of findings.\nDocument any quality issues, or discrepancies,\n\nCompliance and Standards:\n\nEnsure products meet company standards, industry regulations, and customer specifications.\nReview and understand quality standards and procedures to ensure compliance.\n\nContinuous Improvement:\n\nAssist in developing and implementing quality control procedures and best practices.\nParticipate in training sessions to stay updated on quality standards and industry developments.\n\n Education & Experience Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED\n\nAbility to multi-task and meet production goals.\nAbility to read a ruler\n\nGood attendance record\n Physical Requirements:\nLight Carrying: Physically transporting items weighing less than 15 pounds from one location to another.\nModerate Carrying: Physically carrying items weighing 15 to 44 pounds.\nUsage of Hands: Picking, pinching, typing, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm.\nGrasping: Applying pressure to an object with fingers (including thumb) and palm.\nLight Lifting: Raising objects under 15 pounds from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from one position to another.\nModerate Lifting: Lifting objects between 15 to 44 pounds.\nRepetitive Motion: Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for sustained periods of time.\nStanding: Eight-ten hours at a time.\nVisual Requirements: Ability to read computer screen and job cards (i.e. ability to read/see PC screens, detect color coding, read fine-print and/or standard-size print.\n\n Mental Requirements:\nDisplays ambitious, positive attitude\nStrong interpersonal skills to build relationships with site leadership and teammates. May be required to occasionally interact with suppliers and customers.\nGood language comprehension.\nAbility to comprehend oral and/or written instructions.\nAbility to make decisions that have a moderate impact on immediate work.\nAbility to express or exchange ideas by means of communicating accurate information with others in a concise manner.\nAbility to perform basic arithmetic skills.\nDetail Oriented\nHave good mental stamina (sustained concentration)\nHave good reasoning skills\nAbility to manage stress & remain composed under pressure\nAbility to adapt to changing priorities, new inspection techniques & evolving quality standards\nHave good time-management skills\n\n equipment/device operation:\nComputer\noracle\n\n Relationships &Contacts:Communicates with Supervisors, Line Leads, management staff, Sewing Operators, Quality Inspectors, and other team members.
