The PM will support other PMs managing a portfolio of research and development programs, specifically focused on delivering novel capabilities to a motivated customer. This work includes managing all program phases, from marketing to proposal development, from contract initiation to execution, and from program close-out to transition. The PM will also support business operations across the portfolio to enable successful execution. The PM will likely play critical roles in supporting multiple efforts in Sensors and potentially in other Divisions at STR as a Program Manager and/or Deputy Program Manager.\r\nThis role will take advantage of STR's flexible, hybrid environment when the work does not require use of STR's facilities, you are welcome to work remotely.\r\nManage teams of scientists, engineers, and technicians across broad areas of expertise\r\nWork with the principal investigator, technical staff, subcontractors, and support personnel to identify and address risks and issues\r\nSupport timely, successful deliveries of products to the customer and routinely collaborate across multi-disciplined teams to enable STR technical leads and other key stakeholders\r\nTrack program schedules and milestones, coordinating with the STR business operations teams, communicating with our customers, and tracking program performance and risk\r\nGather, evaluate, and synthesize data from multiple sources, such as project reports, project staff, and customer feedback to understand and communicate status and to identify trends\r\nWork with our government customers and multi-contractor technical teams to identify mission requirements and prioritize technical development\r\nInteract with external program customers and internal company leadership\r\nAchieve cost, schedule, and customer objectives on advanced technology programs\r\nWork in a fast-paced environment to enable successful contract execution\r\nBuild strong customer relationships and establish open lines of communication\r\nProgram Management experience, Defense experience, or similar background with the S&T community and programs of record\r\nExperience in managing technical projects, developing tasks/sub-tasks, identifying & tracking program risk\r\nMotivated collaborator who's comfortable communicating to both technical and non-technical audiences\r\nHistory of interacting with decision-makers and customers to translate mission needs into end-to-end analytical solutions\r\nAbility to obtain and maintain a security clearance up to TS/SCI, for which U.S citizenship is needed by the U.S government\r\nActive TS/SCI security clearance\r\nPrior experience in a leadership role of a technical program for the Department of Defense\r\nExperience working and collaborating on multi-disciplinary teams, including leading technical teams and mentoring less experienced staff\r\nKnowledge of software development best practices and tools\r\nExperience spanning all project phases, from ideation to technology research and product development\r\nWorking knowledge of DoD mission and acquisition processes\r\nTechnical breadth and a demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple, technically diverse programs and teams\r\nEntrepreneurial spirit and eager to engage in technical marketing and business development\r\nFull-Time Salary Range: $140,000 - $194,000\r\nThe salary range listed is based on external market data.
