The ideal candidate would be an experienced electric utility engineer or electrical consulting engineer looking to apply his or her power system engineering skills to the rapidly growing ETAP distribution market as well as data transferring solutions.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\n\nUtilize standard engineering and mathematical concepts and principles in the design, coding, and testing of software components\n\nProficiency in modeling for transmission and distribution power systems\n\nPerform power flow, short‑circuit analysis, and protection & coordination to evaluate system impacts\n\nProvide client support and technical issue resolution via E‑Mail and phone to identify, correct, or advise on technical issues.\n\nProvide training and knowledge transfer\n\nQualifications\n\n1.5+ years’ experience in the design and/or operations of electric utility transmission and distribution systems\n\nFamiliarity and working knowledge of power system analysis and simulation\n\nExperience in power system analysis software such as Revit, AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, EMTP‑RV, PSCAD, CYME, PSLF\n\nKnowledge of GIS, MEP, CAD\n\nExperience using AI tools and programming to automate integration workflows\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to write clear and detailed technical reports\n\nComputer skills related to creation of reports and presentations in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint\n\nAbility to adjust to multiple tasks/projects\n\nU.S. citizenship or permanent residency/work authorization\n\nEducation\n\nBachelor's degree in electrical engineering with power systems emphasis\n\nM.S. in Power System Engineering (preferred)\n\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license in California, or ability to obtain same\n\nSalary Range\n65,000.00 - 108,000.00 USD Annual\n\nThis pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation that the position offers, and final compensation can vary within the range depending on work location, job experience, skills, and relevant educational attainment and/or training.\n\nBackground Check\nETAP requires all successful applicants to undergo and pass a comprehensive background check before they start employment.
