The ideal candidate will ensure the integrity of our financial data, streamline accounting processes, and implement robust internal controls. As a key member of the leadership team, you will drive accurate reporting and provide actionable financial insights to support company growth.\nKey Responsibilities\nFinancial Reporting & Analysis\nManage all accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), payroll, insurance, benefit plans, and the general ledger.\nPrepare and publish timely, accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.\nAnalyze financial data, identify trends, and present performance metrics to senior management.\nParticipate in Client Prequalifications.\nMaintain Progress Billings, Insurance Certifications, as required by contracts.\nCompliance, Audits & Controls\nEnsure all financial statements comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).\nEstablish, implement, and enforce internal controls and safeguards over company revenue, costs, and assets.\nCoordinate and lead annual financial and compliance audits with external CPA firms.\nManage local, state, and federal tax compliance, ensuring all filings are accurate and submitted on time.\nBudgeting & Forecasting\nCollaborate with the executive team to develop and administer the annual budget and planning processes.\nMonitor actual performance against budgets, investigate variances, and report deficiencies to leadership.\nAssist in financial forecasting to project future revenues, expenses, and capital needs.\nTeam Leadership & Process Improvement\nRecruit, train, mentor, and supervise the accounting and finance team.\nEvaluate current accounting procedures and software to recommend and implement process improvements.\nFoster a culture of continuous learning and high performance within the finance department.\nQualifications & Skills\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree is highly preferred.\nCertification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) strongly preferred.\nExperience: 5 to 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or Controller capacity.\nTechnical Proficiency: Expertise in advanced accounting software (e.g., Sage 50, UKG) and advanced Excel.\nSoft Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities, high attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
