Like every developer on the team, you'll build features, integrations, and enhancements across The Studio alongside your fulfillment work.\n\nThis role is based in Indiana to provide close partnership with our warehouse operations and local technology environment.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\nAs the primary developer responsible for our fulfillment platform, you will:\n\nDesign, build, and maintain Cabi's custom Fulfillment Service and related applications.\nProvide mission-critical technology support to Receiving, Inventory, Put-away, Pick, Pack and Ship operations\nDevelop APIs, services, and integrations supporting inventory allocation, warehouse operations, order fulfillment, shipping, and returns.\nBuild and maintain integrations between Shopify, Oracle EBS, CRM, warehouse systems, shipping carriers, and other enterprise platforms, including through middleware and workflow automation platforms such as Pipedream.\nOwn software throughout its lifecycle—from solution design and development through deployment, monitoring, production support, and continuous improvement.\nTroubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement scalable long-term solutions.\nImprove platform performance, reliability, observability, and automation while reducing technical debt.\nPartner with Product Management and Warehouse Operations to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.\nCollaborate with Infrastructure when software, AWS, networking, and warehouse technology intersect.\nParticipate in Agile planning, estimation, code reviews, testing, and production releases.\nLeverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality.\nWork as a full-stack developer on The Studio, Cabi's Shopify-based platform, delivering front-end and back-end features, integrations, and enhancements alongside the broader engineering team, while maintaining primary ownership of the fulfillment platform.\n\nWhat You'll Bring\n\nRequired\n\n4+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in a backend or full-stack role.\nExperience building enterprise applications and backend services.\nStrong API development experience in distributed applications environment using REST and GraphQL based webservices\nStrong SQL and relational database experience, including writing and optimizing queries and working with object-relational mapping (ORM) tools.\nFull-stack development experience across backend services and modern frontend frameworks such as React.\nProven ability to leverage AI to assist in development workflows.\nExperience developing applications in AWS.\nExperience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.\nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nEagerness to learn new technologies and contribute across both backend and frontend as needed.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills.\n\nPreferred\n\nShopify development or Shopify integrations, including familiarity with Hydrogen and Remix.\nRetail, ecommerce, fulfillment, warehouse, or supply chain experience.\nOracle EBS or ERP integrations.\nRuby on Rails, or experience with other server-side frameworks such as Django or Spring.\nMiddleware and workflow automation platforms such as Pipedream.\nWarehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Order Management Systems (OMS).\nDocker, Kubernetes, or container technologies.\nEvent-driven or distributed system architectures.\n\nTechnologies You'll Work With\n\nShopify / The Studio (Cabi's Shopify-based platform)\nAWS\nReact, Node.js, Go, Ruby on Rails\nREST & GraphQL APIs\nPipedream (middleware & workflow automation)\nSQL / MySQL / PostgreSQL\nOracle EBS\nWarehouse Systems\nShipping Carrier Integrations\nGit & CI/CD\n\nWhat We Offer\n\nAt cabi, we believe our people should be recognized for the impact they make.
