House Cleaner and Organizer (part time)

**Job Title:** House Cleaner and Organizer **Location:** Kalamazoo, MI **Job Type:** Part-Time Contract (Approximately 16 to 20 hours/week). Flexible with hours. Preference for Monday through Friday starting at 10am. **Compensation:** Starting at $16–$19/hour, based on experience and references. Paid bi-weekly. --- **About the Opportunity:** We have a position available to work for a busy, professional family (plus two friendly cats) looking for a reliable, detail-oriented "House Cleaner and Organizer" to help keep our home clean, organized, and running smoothly. This part-time role offers steady, weekday hours with flexibility in scheduling. We’re seeking someone who is proactive, dependable, and truly enjoys creating order and cleanliness in a home environment. --- **Key Responsibilities:** - Organize household items thoughtfully and maintain a clear inventory of where things are placed. - Perform general housecleaning tasks: vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, dishes, porch cleaning, and laundry. - Sanitize bathrooms and bedrooms; change bedding and take trash out to collection points. - Wash windows and assist with occasional errands if needed. - Complete monthly deep-cleaning projects. - Follow daily or weekly task lists provided. --- **What We're Looking For:** - Experience in housecleaning or professional organizing is preferred. - Strong organizational skills are **essential** — this is more than just cleaning. - Ability to work independently, stay focused, and complete tasks efficiently. - Reliable transportation, a cell phone, and good physical stamina (some lifting involved). - Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English. - Positive attitude, punctuality, honesty, and a non-smoking preference (outdoor smoking only). --- **Work Environment:** - Safe, family neighborhood near West Main Street (close to police and fire departments). - Indoor and outdoor security cameras for peace of mind. - All cleaning supplies and equipment are provided. --- **Our Expectations:** We value professionalism and reliability.
