This position will be responsible for participating in many facets of the construction process such as working with tools and punch lists and executing self-perform work while collaborating with others as part of a crew of craftsmen. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn.\nAutonomy and Decision Making: Follows directions and refers all exceptions to supervisor.\nCareer Path: Field Engineer 2.\nKey Role Responsibilities - Core\nFIELD ENGINEER – TRADE FAMILY - CORE\nActively participates in all aspects of the project-specific safety plan and culture.\nLearns and actively participates in all aspects of the company’s safety culture by demonstrating commitment to an injury free environment through individual actions and mentoring others.\nWorks with tools and executes self-perform work while embedded as part of a crew of craftsmen to complete specific assigned tasks on a project.\nAcquires knowledge about company best practice standards and fundamentals for building and construction techniques through hands on, on-the-job training and regular work assignments.\nBuilds relationships and develops communication and interpersonal skills with trades people and project team members such as foreman, journeymen, superintendents, subcontractors, etc.\nDevelops understanding about the various functions and support roles across the company, and how each contributes to the success of a project.\nLearns and applies company standards for how specific equipment is used for specific building processes.\nCollaborates with others and demonstrates teamwork.\nLearns and incorporates Lean practices into daily activities.\nParticipates in various meetings such as weekly work plans, as warranted by business needs and site practices.\nKey Role Responsibilities - Additional Core\nN/A\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nAbility to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner.\nCommunication skills, verbal and written.\nProficiency in MS Office.\nAcquire knowledge in layout skills.\nKnowledge of crane flagging and rigging.\nKnowledge of organizational structure and available resources.\nKnowledge of the means and methods of construction management.\nKnowledge of Lean process and philosophy.\nAcquire knowledge of productivity rates.\nAbility to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally.\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred).\nParticipation in a federally required training or apprenticeship program, depending upon location (Preferred).\nIn lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.\nExperience\n0-2 years construction experience (Preferred).\nWorking Environment\nBenefits Information\nThe benefits package aligned to this position is Professional Non-Union.
