Job Title : Material Handler and Driver Location: Gibsonton, FL 33534 Duration: 7-Month Contract with Possible Extension Shift: First Shift Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Material Handler & Driver to join our team in Gibsonton, Florida. This position is responsible for material handling, warehouse operations, forklift operation, inventory support, shipping and receiving activities, and driving company vehicles to transport materials and donations. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, a valid Florida driver's license, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Key Responsibilities Maintain transfer and production operations in accordance with company policies and procedures. Verify all loading and unloading activities to ensure accuracy. Assist Inventory Control with material verification and cycle counts. Complete loading, unloading, and shipping documentation as required. Rack and organize materials according to established procedures. Communicate any issues involving materials, racks, equipment, or vehicles to management. Assist with inbound and outbound material processing as needed. Assemble customer shipments and prepare products for shipping. Relocate materials and orders to designated storage, holding, or shipping areas. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently. Follow all forklift safety regulations, including mandatory seatbelt use. Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization in accordance with 5S standards. Move materials between receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas. Support general labor activities as required. Schedule and coordinate truck activities and deliveries. Drive company vehicles to pick up and transport donated items and materials. Load and unload materials at warehouse and facility locations. Complete vehicle inspection reports and maintain truck logs. Inspect vehicle equipment, including tires, brakes, lights, oil, fuel, and fluids before trips. Report maintenance concerns and assist with emergency roadside repairs when necessary. Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of forklift operating experience. Current Forklift Certification required. Experience operating pallet jacks. Valid Florida Driver's License with at least two years of driving experience. Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Fluent in both English and Spanish. Authorized to work for any employer in the United States. Ability to work safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (6–8 hours or more). Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Ability to work in a high-noise environment. Strong visual abilities, including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus. PG - IND Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $18 - $20 Hourly Bonus/Commission: No
