THE OPPORTUNITYIT Support Technician will be responsible for direct end user technical support for the Virginia Information Technology Agency (VITA) contract by providing comprehensive IT support for end users at customer sites throughout Virginia and the surrounding areas.  Installs, maintains, and repairs products such as equipment, integrated systems, and software at the client and/or field locations. Instructs customers in equipment operation, provides technical assistance, performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots equipment for malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACTProvide technical / IT support for Commonwealth of VirginiaPerform routine maintenance on customer’s assetsProvide comprehensive and timely resolution of all IT issuesResponsible for system updates, ticketing and asset managementPerform break/fix software & hardware support (including OEM-certified warranty repair)Execution of asset disposal activitiesTraining on new products and servicesSupport of end users that remotely access services (including shipping replacement devices, leveraging 3rd party hardware repair or other forms of onsite support)Resolution of issues involving business applications on and off premise (e.g. cloud)Provide support remotely via remote administration tools as well as onsite / desk sideSupport tasks include end user device configurationsImaging of Commonwealth devicesMay collaborate with vendors to provide technical insightProvide support for Windows 10/11 & MAC operating systems, software/application support, troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, system restorations, etc.Provide after hours and weekend support as neededSKILLS THAT DRIVE SUCCESSHigh School plus advanced training and 2 plus years of experience.Experienced with troubleshooting Hardware (laptops/desktops) and softwareExperience with Hardware diagnostics and replacement (motherboards, hard drives, keyboard replacements)You're able to work independently or within a teamRequires frequent travel with reliable transportationMust possess a valid Driver’s LicenseMust be able to lift a maximum of 30 poundsMust have manual dexterityAbility to read asset tagsAbility to pass a VITA background checkAbility to obtain Department of Corrections,  Virginia State Police, and  Virginia Department of Transportation clearancesWHAT SETS YOU APARTYou have an A+ certificationTRAVEL REQUIREMENTSApproximately 50% travel between multiple customer sites primarily in Buckingham and Louisa counties and occasionally neighboring CountiesWHY YOU’LL LOVE ITYou get to be a creative, problem solver in a dynamic, fast paced environment while working with various technologies.Iron Bow is rapidly growing and with growth comes opportunity for all.  There is palpable energy and momentum across the company that is easy to tap into and be inspired by. COMPENSATION AND BENEFIT INFORMATIONThe salary range for this position is $20-27/hr. This range reflects the anticipated base pay for the position and is not a guarantee of final compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, contract requirements, and business needs.Iron Bow Technologies reserves the right to fill this role at a different level, depending on qualifications and organizational priorities. This range represents only one component of Iron Bow’s total compensation package.
