You will play a critical role in translating clinical documentation into precise codes that reflect the complexity and severity of a patient’s health stats,\nYou will:\nProvide education through detailed feedback within audits.\nProvide coders’ on-going education for any identified missed/incorrect ICD-10 codes or incorrect/missing/inappropriate client-based notes.\nMaintain communication with both Coders as well as management on errors, trends, educational opportunities, etc.\nOther tasks required by management.\nWhat you will bring to the table:\nMinimum 3 years of HCC coding experience\nMinimum 2 years of HCC Auditing experience\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent\nAHIMA certified credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS) or AAPC certified credentials (CPC, CPC-H, COC, CIC or CRC).\nProficient in ICD-10 coding.\nExperienced in HCC coding across Medicare, commercial, and Medicaid sectors.\nIn-depth knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, pharmacology, and disease processes.\nAbility to excel in a fast-paced production environment while upholding high-quality standards.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, adeptness in remote work, and exceptional time management skills.\nWorking knowledge of the business computer hardware and software to enhance data processing effectiveness and security.\nWhat We Offer:\nComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance\nPaid time off (PTO) plan\nRetirement savings plan\nFlexible work arrangements\nOpportunities for career growth and development\nEmployee wellness programs\nPay ranges for this job title may differ based on location, responsibilities, skills, experience, and other requirements of the role.\nThe estimated base pay range per hour for this role is:\n$29—$33 USD\nTo ensure the safety of patients and staff, many of our clients require post-offer health screenings and proof and/or completion of various vaccinations such as the flu shot, Tdap, COVID-19, etc. Any requests to be exempted from these requirements will be reviewed by Datavant Human Resources and determined on a case-by-case basis.
