Our team owns the end-to-end observability stack across telemetry, distributed tracing, logging, profiling, storage systems, and developer-facing visualization tools.\nWe are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the next generation of AI-powered observability platforms. In this role, you will help build intelligent systems that leverage AI to revolutionize CI/CD, testing, and DevOps workflows — enabling engineers to move faster, improve reliability, and operate large-scale distributed systems with greater efficiency and confidence.\nThis is a highly impactful leadership role at the center of Roblox infrastructure. Your work will directly improve developer productivity, platform reliability, and operational excellence across the company. You will partner closely with infrastructure, product engineering, and AI platform teams to shape the future of developer tooling and autonomous operations at scale.\nYou Have\n3+ years of engineering management experience with a proven track record of hiring, mentoring, and growing high-performing teams.\nStrong experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems and data infrastructure.\nExperience with observability platforms or AI/ML-powered infrastructure is a plus.\nStrong technical judgment and execution skills, with the ability to balance long-term platform investments with near-term business priorities.\nPassion for developer experience, platform engineering, and applying AI to improve engineering productivity and operational excellence.\nExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills across engineering, product, and infrastructure teams.\nYou Will\nPartner with stakeholders across the company to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the next generation of observability infrastructure at Roblox.\nLead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers building AI-powered observability platforms and intelligent developer infrastructure.\nFoster a strong engineering culture centered on ownership, execution, innovation, collaboration, and customer impact.\nDrive initiatives that improve developer productivity, operational excellence, and platform reliability at scale.\nHelp shape the future of AI-driven developer tooling, CI/CD, testing, and DevOps experiences across Roblox.\nRoles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).\nRoblox provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
