Registered Nurse - IR/Special Procedures

Job DescriptionJob Summary:The Registered Nurse in Interventional Radiology (IR) provides comprehensive patient care before, during, and after IR procedures. They collaborate closely with physicians, mid-level providers, and technical staff to ensure patient safety and procedural success.Responsibilities:Assess and document patient status in accordance with radiology protocols using the EMR system.Manage patient care throughout all three phases of procedures: pre, intra, and post-procedure.Communicate effectively with physicians and mid-level providers regarding care plans and patient disposition.Perform IV insertions and prepare patients for scheduled IR procedures, including CT preps.Assist with complex vascular procedures such as embolizations, thrombectomies, and draining interventions.Monitor and care for patients with various diagnoses, including biopsies, fluid collections, and pain management injections.Qualifications:Hold a current RN license with at least 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology or critical care.Proficient in IV starts and patient assessment.Demonstrate experience with EMR systems, specifically Allscripts.Possess BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; PALS certification mandatory for travelers.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced interventional setting and adapt to flexible scheduling.Open to first-time travelers with relevant IR background preferred.Benefits & Growth:Opportunity to work in a dynamic IR department with exposure to diverse vascular and diagnostic procedures.Enhance skills in interventional and critical care nursing within a collaborative team environment.Gain valuable experience in advanced interventional techniques and patient management.BenefitsDay 1 Medical, Dental, and Vision insuranceTravel reimbursement for assignmentsPaid sick leave and additional valuable benefitsAccess to our $1,000 Inspire a Friend Referral ProgramWhy TactStaff?Choosing TactStaff means partnering with a team that understands the unique demands and rewards of IR/Special Procedures.
