Our Focal Plane Operations Process Engineering department provides world class semiconductor and focal plane array manufacturing processes in support of production and development products. We have an opportunity for a Principal Process Integration Engineer with a background in semiconductor fabrication including photolithography processing, annealing, thin film deposition, and metrology.\nThe candidate will have familiarity with some, or all aspects of deposition technologies used in semiconductor fabrication and read out integrated circuit processing. The candidate will work with other process engineers and skilled technicians, to develop strategies and processes for detector wafer production technologies, etching technologies, and metrology technologies taking advantage of the in-house systems.\nThe candidate should have technical proficiency in the manufacture of semiconductor components or microelectronics as well as proficiency and comfort in interfacing with multiple functions including Product Engineering, Systems Engineering, Quality, Mechanical Design Engineering, Factory Management, Equipment Engineering and Process Engineering\nWhat You Will Do\nManaging process development and improvement projects, including novel processing techniques, yield increase, throughput, and safety improvements\nResponsible for reviewing material in WIP, certifying operators, dispositioning out of flow material, and hands on processing of novel detector designs\nProviding Process Ownership of vacuum coating tools, etch tools, or lithography tools\nDeveloping requirements and qualification plans for new equipment procurements.\nWork in a cleanroom environment will full coverall garments.\nExpert experience with wet etch, metal-lift off, lithography, plasma cleaning, and associated semiconductor process equipment\nMaintain statistical process controls for process optimization; trouble shoot and resolve issues supporting the manufacturing process and improve work center process yields.\nResearch new suppliers and technologies for improving production, quality, end cost and throughput.\nManage capital equipment acquisitions from initial development to program implementation\nQualifications You Must Have\nTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.\nExperience in Process or Manufacturing Engineering in a Semiconductor, Optics, Electro-Optics and/or Microelectronics environment.\nQualifications We Prefer\nExpert experience with principles of infrared semiconductor fabrication technologies\nExperience with infrared detector technology and semiconductor physics\nProject management experience with a focus on capital tool acquisitions\nKnowledge of statistical process control and design of experiments\nEquipment and controls system experience\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nFamiliarity with a cleanroom work environment (Class 100)\nProficiency in engineering computing, including MATLAB, Python or other related language\nWhat We Offer\nOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
