You will be a part of team that support the execution design, engineering, and commissioning of electrical substations in support of the growing demands and improved reliability performance. The Associate Engineer will receive hands on training and guidance from Senior Engineers while building technical competency in electric utility protection and control systems.\nQualifications\nBachelor of Science (and/or Master of Science) in Electrical Engineering\n1–3 years of professional engineering experience with knowledge of engineering designs, principles, practices and safety codes\nDemonstrated interest in or academic exposure to power systems, controls, or protection principles\nAbility to interpret electrical schematics, relay logic diagrams, and technical specifications\nKnowledge and ability to apply problem-solving approaches and engineering theory\nProficient skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills\nExperience working in the power, utilities, or manufacturing industry is a plus\nKnowledge of SCADA systems, substations, or communication protocols is a pus\nResponsibilities\nDevelop and review protective relay settings and coordination studies for transmission and substation equipment\nDesign and analyze control schemes for substation switching, protection, and automation systems\nSupport commissioning and testing of protective relays, control panels, and associated equipment\nInterpret and produce one-line diagrams, schematic drawings, and wiring diagram\nCollaborate with senior engineers on engineering calculations, technical reports, and project documentation\nParticipate in field work at substations as required, including relay testing and troubleshooting\nEnsure compliance with NERC reliability standards, internal standards, and applicable codes\nCoordinate with operations, maintenance, and project management teams on T&S engineering deliverables\nWhat’s in it for you?\nA welcoming, team environment where you will be provided an opportunity to work with a Fortune 100 company.
