The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, particularly ASC 606 revenue recognition, and hands-on experience transitioning an organization from cash-basis to accrual accounting.\n\nThis is a hands-on opportunity for someone who can assess the existing accounting environment, implement improved processes, troubleshoot accounting issues, and help establish a strong foundation for the accounting function.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n• Implement ASC 606 revenue recognition processes\n• Help transition the organization from cash-basis to accrual accounting\n• Evaluate existing revenue recognition and accounting processes\n• Develop and implement accounting procedures, controls, and reconciliations\n• Troubleshoot accounting issues and provide practical solutions\n• Work directly within Intuit Enterprise Suite / QuickBooks Online\n• Utilize Microsoft Excel for analysis, reconciliations, reporting, and accounting schedules\n• Identify gaps in existing accounting processes and recommend improvements\n• Provide hands-on Controller-level accounting support\n• Ensure revenue and related transactions are properly recorded and reported\n\nQualifications\n\n• Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior-level accounting experience\n• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition\n• Strong accrual accounting experience\n• Experience transitioning an organization from cash-basis to accrual accounting strongly preferred\n• Strong Intuit Enterprise Suite / QuickBooks Online experience\n• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills\n• Strong accounting troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities\n• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment\n• Excellent attention to detail\n\nPosition Details\n\nWork Arrangement: Fully Remote\nEngagement: Fractional to start\nPreferred Location: NY Tri-State Area\nCompensation: Up to $100 per hour, depending on experience\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Controller who enjoys building accounting processes, solving technical accounting issues, and making an immediate impact.\n\nBENEFITS\n\nWe offer eligible employees competitive pay and access to a range of benefits and support programs based on assignment type, schedule, length of employment, and eligibility requirements, including medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, short-term disability, 401(k), employee assistance, childcare assistance, discounts, paid holidays, and longevity bonuses.
