Laborer and Maintenance Assistant
We are looking for someone to assist in the Maintenance department. To perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and renovations in the rooms. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to existing building and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. Must be willing to learn and work closely with the Maintenance Manager during the renovation process.
Responsibilities
Assist the Maintenance department with the renovation process of the rooms
Installing floors, painting, minor electrical and plumbing
Installing appliances and furniture
Collecting the trash and help ensure the grounds are kept clean and inviting
Conduct maintenance tasks as needed
Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. smoke dedector, etc.)
Report to a facilities or maintenance manager for issues
Skills
Basic knowledge of painting, removal / installation of flooring, fixtures, etc.
Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems is a plus
Experience using hand and electrical tools
Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
Good communication and interpersonal skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Reliable transportation is a must
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
