As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and driven Payroll Specialist to join our team.\r\nJob Summary: The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll for up to 400 employees across 20+ states, managing the employment federal and state employment tax reporting, responding to employee's pay questions, and assisting the Finance team as needed.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nReview hours and pay data, detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies\r\nProcess and post payroll to issue employee paychecks and ACH payments\r\nProcess miscellaneous payments related to missed time or retroactive increases\r\nUpdate employee information in the payroll system such as union and pay class changes\r\nReconcile payroll between bank, pay system, and ERP system\r\nCorrespond via email and telephone with employees regarding payroll issues\r\nMeet daily and weekly time-sensitive deadlines\r\nWillingness to accept and complete other projects as assigned\r\nQualifications\r\nEducation\r\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; Two-year accounting degree preferred but not required.\r\nExperience\r\n3-5 years of payroll experience is required\r\nState and Federal employment tax submission oversight\r\nSkills\r\nExperience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) is required\r\nExperience with payroll platforms such as Paylocity is desired\r\nExperience with ERP system such as Cost Point is desired\r\nExperience with business insurance and state use/sales tax submissions is desired\r\nKey Attributes\r\nProven ability to provide excellent customer service to our employees via verbal and written communications\r\nAbility and desire to work on a team with the common goal to pay our employees accurately and on-time\r\nDetail-oriented and can pivot from a task when needed\r\nEnjoy problem solving and finding the why\r\nX-Bow is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
