As a Lead Java Developer, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.ResponsibilitiesLead application design including create and maintain application and network diagrams Ensure all solutions are compliant with best practices around application security, encryption, and data in flight Mentor team members Participate in code reviews Participate in planning for initiatives; tasks include design, estimates, breakdown of work, and identify dependencies Participation in Agile ceremonies Key contributor to roadmap planning and execution for owned applications and ensure these roadmaps align to the larger enterprise architecture Collaborate with other technical leads to identify dependencies Participate in development work Support resolution of production issues and create steps to prevent recurrence Oversight responsibility on resolution of vulnerabilities, compliance deficits Work with Change Management for code release, plan roll out, other teams and delivery team for production release, post release testing etc. Participate in on call rotation for production supportQualificationsTechnical ExpertiseEnterprise data architecture and pipeline design experiencePostgreSQL database design, optimization, and data modelingPython and Java proficiencyServerless and event-driven architecturesAdvanced SQL and data transformation optimization experienceAPI development, microservices, and REST architecture experienceExperience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworksGit version control strategies and branching models experienceFamiliarity with Mulesoft and flex gatewayContract-first API development experienceAdvanced Spring boot and Spring batch hands-on experienceExpertise with using AI tools LeadershipArchitect and lead implementation of AWS-based solutionsAble to establish technical standards and best practicesAble to read code reviews focused on maintainability, security, and performanceFoster culture of continuous improvement and technical excellenceAble to translate business requirements into technical solutions and roadmapAbility to lead technical discovery sessions across multiple teamsBalance technical debt, business value, and time-to-market in architectural decisionsService-oriented mindset with focus on measurable outcomesStrong communication skills bridging technical and business teamsThe salary range for this role is $80,000 to $160,000 or the hourly equivalent.
