The Center is currently seeking Course Coordinators for our Spring 2026 classes.\r\nExternal Title: Course Coordinator\r\nPayroll Title: Student Assistant series\r\nDuration: Fall 2026 Semester (Appointment dates: 8/17/2026-1220/2026)\r\nTime Commitment: average of 10-20 hours a week\r\nPay Rate: $19.18/hr\r\nLocation: In person\r\nPosition Summary\r\nThe Course Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the successful delivery and operations of courses within the Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology (SCET). Course Coordinators support accomplished industry instructors and their curriculum while gaining valuable exposure to successful industry professionals and entrepreneurs. Specific responsibilities vary by class and instructor but focus on ensuring courses run efficiently and align with the SCETs academic and operational goals.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nCourse and Team Coordination\r\n\r\n\r\nAssist instructors with class administration, including communication with students, staff, and guest speakers.\r\n\r\n\r\nManage course logistics such as enrollment, classroom coordination, course materials, and bCourses administration.\r\n\r\n\r\nTrack student and team progress throughout the semester and report updates to instructors and center leadership.\r\n\r\n\r\nProvide on-site support during class sessions to ensure smooth coordination and student engagement.\r\n\r\n\r\nGuest Speaker and Event Implementation\r\n\r\n\r\nCoordinate guest speaker invitations, confirmations, and scheduling.\r\n\r\n\r\nEnsure all guest speakers follow university and departmental policies and procedures.\r\n\r\n\r\nProvide on-site event support, including check-in, and post-event follow-up.\r\n\r\n\r\nMaintain organized records and documentation for each event and speaker.\r\n\r\n\r\nCommunity Engagement and Collaboration\r\n\r\n\r\nActively engage with the course coordinator community to share best practices and promote consistency across courses.\r\n\r\n\r\nCollaborate with faculty, staff, and other coordinators to improve student and guest experiences.\r\n\r\n\r\nCommunications and Reporting\r\n\r\n\r\nDevelop and schedule social media posts that highlight course activities, guest speakers, and student achievements.\r\n\r\n\r\nGather data, visuals, and stories for inclusion in the Center's impact reports, newsletters, and presentations.\r\n\r\n\r\nSupport the creation of marketing and communications materials for events and programs.\r\n\r\n\r\nAdministrative and Compliance\r\n\r\n\r\nFollow all university and departmental policies and procedures related to courses, events, and guest management.\r\n\r\n\r\nMaintain accurate and organized digital and physical records for classes, instructors, and student projects.\r\n\r\n\r\nSupport continuous improvement of course coordination processes and documentation.\r\n\r\n\r\nSubmit requests for guest parking passes, swag bags and other needs in a timely manner.\r\n\r\n\r\nOther duties as assigned.\r\nThis is not a GSI/TA position and does not include instruction or grading. Course coordinators are considered to be a part of the student leadership at SCET and are required to attend monthly trainings and workshops to support their roles and the growth of the center.\r\nSee the Schedule of Classes for class details and the SCET website for additional information on the classes and instructors. Note that Course Coordinators must be available to be in-person during the time of the class and they cannot be enrolled in the class for which they are assisting. This is an hourly position and there is no tuition remission.\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\n\r\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\r\nOrganizational skills and administrative experience\r\nCandidates must be reliable, flexible and professional\r\nInterest in technology entrepreneurship\r\nCompletion of at least one SCET class preferred, but not required\r\n\r\nEligibility\r\nStudent jobs are restricted to UC Berkeley students who are registered for the current academic semester, or in the grace period immediately before or after academic semester registration (grace period defined as a semester or summer, whichever is before or after the period of enrollment).
