With offices strategically located worldwide, the Global Edge is known for the highest level of delivery for our clients and contractors.Position Overview: Our team is currently looking for a Chassis Design Engineer II for our Automotive/ Motorsport Racing client in Santa Clarita, CA. Responsibilities & Essential Duties:Responsibilities include providing design engineering expertise for race vehicle development, including the creation and analysis of design concepts, CAD models, and engineering drawings, as well as the interpretation of test results. Qualifications (Education, Experience, & Skills):BSME/MSME with 1-3 years of experience within the automotive and/or motorsports industryDemonstrated understanding of vehicle dynamics and chassis component design fundamentals1-3 years of direct automotive chassis component design and analysis experienceDemonstrated proficiency with detailed 3D model and 2D drawing creationDemonstrated proficiency with tolerance analysis and GD&TExcellent communication skills with a strong “team player” mindsetDirect mass-production automotive development experience a plusDirect Catia V5/V6 & Abaqus FEA experience a plusShould be a self-starter & comfortable working in a fast-paced environmentRequired Qualifications: Some experience designing the following:Systems:Suspension & Stability ControlMounts & Subframes Braking & ABSBody in White / Body StructureParts:Wheels/TiresSuspension ComponentsBraking System Components (Calipers/Pads/Discs/Lines)Aerodynamic PartsBody Structure Reinforcement and Underbody ProtectionEquipment Racks & External Accessories Work ConditionsOn-site in Santa Clarita, CAOne year contract w/ likely extensionThe Global Edge is an international staffing firm connecting projects worldwide with the industry’s most talented project professionals.
