Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to accurately document patient encounters in real-time. This role is essential in ensuring that medical records are complete, accurate, and up-to-date, allowing for improved patient care and streamlined medical documentation processes. Responsibilities Accurately transcribe physician-patient interactions during examinations and procedures. Document medical histories, physical exams, and treatment plans in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Ensure all medical documentation complies with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in the management of medical records by organizing and retrieving documents as needed. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies or incomplete documentation. Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and relevant clinical practices. Experience Previous experience in a medical office or emergency room setting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical documentation practices is highly desirable. Proficiency in typing and using EHR systems for effective documentation. Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with healthcare professionals and patients.
