Our team provides wrap-around support — from financial coaching and career training to youth programs, affordable housing, and wellness services — that empowers individuals and families to reach their goals.Position OverviewWe’re seeking a strategic and mission-driven Chief Systems Officer (CSO) to lead JBNC’s enterprise systems and data strategy. As a key member of the executive leadership team, this role sits at the intersection of technology, data, and organizational impact.The CSO will ensure our systems are integrated, secure, and effectively used to support decision-making and community outcomes. This leader will drive the development of a unified data ecosystem, champion organization-wide adoption of systems, and build a culture where data is trusted, accessible, and actionable.What You’ll DoLead JBNC’s enterprise systems and data strategy, aligning technology with mission and organizational prioritiesOversee governance, selection, and lifecycle management of all systems and software platformsDesign and steward a unified data architecture, including ownership of the organization’s Database of Record (DoR)Ensure strong data governance, quality, privacy, and compliance across all systemsPartner with executive and program leaders to ensure systems support service delivery and community impactLead organization-wide change management efforts to drive system adoption and staff engagementBuild data literacy across the organization, empowering teams to use data in decision-makingOversee integrations, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity practices, and system architecture standardsManage system budgets, vendor relationships, and contractsIdentify and implement innovative solutions, including AI, to improve efficiency and impactRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred)10+ years of progressive leadership in systems, data strategy, or digital transformationStrong experience with systems architecture, integrations (APIs), and cloud-based platformsDeep understanding of data governance, analytics, and system-driven decision-makingProven ability to lead large-scale change management and system adoption effortsExperience developing governance structures and managing system lifecyclesExceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable insightsStrong commitment to ethical data use, equity, and community impactPreferred QualificationsExperience in nonprofit, public sector, or mission-driven organizationsFamiliarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., FERPA, data privacy regulations)Experience implementing enterprise-level systems (CRM, ERP, HRIS, etc.)Exposure to or leadership in AI strategy and emerging technologiesCompensation & BenefitsJBNC offers a competitive and supportive benefits package, including:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance at no cost to employeesTelehealth and mental health services401(k) with employer matchPaid time off including holidays (with a full week off at year end)Professional development and leadership growth opportunitiesAccess to discounted Fitness Zone membership and employee engagement initiativesWork Environment & ScheduleFull-time, exempt positionOn-site at John Boner Neighborhood CentersTypical schedule: Monday–Friday, with flexibility based on organizational needsEmployment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, in accordance with applicable lawsJohn H.
