The successful candidate will lead the design and implementation of data center projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet the highest standards of efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.\nKey Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions\nProject Management\nLead and manage data center design projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.\nDevelop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.\nCoordinate and communicate with stakeholders, including clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams.\nDesign and Engineering\nOversee the mechanical engineering aspects of data center design, including HVAC, cooling systems, and energy efficiency measures.\nWork closely with electrical and structural engineers to ensure integrated and cohesive design solutions.\nEnsure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.\nTechnical Expertise\nProvide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.\nConduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and technical evaluations.\nReview and approve design documents, specifications, and drawings.\nReview Submittals for accuracy, adherence to specifications and omissions.\nVendor Management\nManage relationships with external vendors and contractors.\nEvaluate and select suppliers for mechanical systems and components.\nMonitor and ensure quality control of materials and workmanship.\nSustainability and Innovation\nPromote sustainable design practices and innovative technologies to enhance data center performance.\nImplement energy-saving initiatives and support the company's sustainability goals.\nQuality Assurance\nEnsure rigorous quality assurance processes are followed throughout the project.\nConduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards.\nDocumentation and Reporting\nMaintain accurate and detailed project documentation.\nPrepare regular status reports for senior management and stakeholders.\nEnsure proper handover of completed projects to operations teams.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in data center design and project management.\nStrong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, cooling, and energy management.\nProven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects.\nExcellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nProficient in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit, Procore).\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.\nCommitment to continuous improvement and professional development.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.\n6+ years of experience in data center design and project management.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to sit for extended periods of time.\nWalk or Stand for 50% of the time.\nModerate or advanced keyboard usage.\nLift 50 lbs.\nTravel 10% of the time.\nCompensation\nBase Pay Range: Annualized salary range offered for this position is estimated to be $140,000 - $160,000.
