This role is responsible for generating new business, maintaining client relationships, coordinating event details, and maximizing revenue opportunities for the property.The ideal candidate is highly motivated, hospitality-focused, and experienced in selling weddings, corporate meetings, social events, and catering functions.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business DevelopmentProspect and generate new catering and banquet business through outbound sales efforts, networking, referrals, and community involvementRespond promptly to incoming catering and event inquiriesConduct property tours and client meetingsDevelop and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, wedding planners, schools, sports teams, and community groupsAchieve monthly and annual sales goals Event Planning & CoordinationPrepare proposals, contracts, banquet event orders (BEOs), and event timelinesCoordinate event details with clients including menus, room setup, AV, décor, and schedulingCommunicate event requirements clearly with operations, culinary, banquet, and front office teamsEnsure seamless execution of all events and high guest satisfaction Revenue & Administrative ResponsibilitiesMaximize banquet revenue through upselling and strategic pricingMaintain accurate records in CRM and sales systemsTrack leads, bookings, forecasts, and sales activityReview banquet checks and billing accuracyParticipate in weekly sales and operations meetings Qualifications2+ years of catering sales, hotel sales, banquet sales, or event management experience preferredStrong communication, negotiation, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneouslyExperience with hotel sales systems and catering software preferredProfessional appearance and customer-focused attitudeFlexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends for events Preferred ExperienceHotel banquet and catering salesWeddings and social eventsCorporate meetings and conferencesMarriott, Hilton, or major hotel brand experienceDelphi, CI/TY, or similar event management software Compensation & BenefitsBase salary + commission structureBonus opportunitiesPaid time offEmployee hotel discountsGrowth and advancement opportunities
