The Student Employee position will focus on administrative support, learning support, or specialized support while offering educational and career growth.\nDuties/ Responsibilities:\nProvide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors.\nAnswer incoming phone calls.\nPerform a variety of administrative and/or office duties.\nProvide assistance and support to faculty and/or staff in completing special projects as assigned.\nPerform general administrative responsibilities in support of the department/office/campus.\nComplete department-specific projects as assigned.\nAttend the workplace regularly as scheduled, report to work punctually, and follow a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite.\nSupport the values of the University.\nAdditional duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nAbility to follow verbal and written instructions.\nAbility to make entry-level decisions.\nDemonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills.\nWillingness to ask questions.\nUnderstanding of basic department procedures.\nAbility to maintain a level of professionalism during working hours.\nHas a genuine desire to help their peers succeed.\nBe currently enrolled as a student at EMU.\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh School diploma.\nPhysical Requirements:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and use hands and fingers, to handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
