Job Title: Quality Control SpecialistDepartment: OperationsReports To: Operations ManagerPosition Summary:The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for protecting property standards and guest readiness across the property portfolio through active communication, site inspections, preventative system checks, and reporting. This role serves as the eyes and standards enforcement arm in the field, conducting periodic walkthroughs, auditing procedural templates for team execution in Breezeway and ensuring homes consistently align with Big Easy Management standards. This role also serves as the primary liaison to housekeeping teams, escalating concerns and initiating tasks when management, maintenance, or administrative action is needed.Company Standards:Big Easy Management StandardsAt Big Easy Management, quality control is not just about cleaning and maintenance. The QCS role is expected but not limited to:Work proactively to eliminate avoidable problems before guests encounter themHold a high bar for cleanliness, functionality, safety, presentation, and guest readinessIdentify, document, and escalate problems appropriately to support timely operational resolutionMaintain systems and processes that assure consistencyCommunicate clearly, directly, and proactively with cleaners, operations, and leadershipContribute to a culture of accountability, responsiveness, teamwork, and continuous improvementKey Responsibilities:Housekeeping LiaisonServe as the primary point of contact and liaison for housekeeping teams across the full portfolio, maintaining consistent communication and escalating operational concerns as neededProvide supportive, real-time feedback to housekeeping teams and leads regarding recurring quality concerns, reinforcing standards and helping prevent repeat issuesQuality Control & InspectionsConduct periodic pre-arrival inspections of units to ensure readiness and adherence to quality standards, prioritizing luxury properties, spot-checks, recurring issue trends, and high-priority staysProactively identify opportunities for property improvements, operational consistency, or quality enhancements and present recommendations to the Operations ManagerPerform ongoing quality control checks across all properties to maintain consistencyAudit and refine Breezeway cleaning and inspection templates tailored to the operational and quality needs of individual propertiesComplete weekly inspections for luxury management properties and maintain detailed reportingIdentify and document housekeeping, maintenance, safety, or readiness issues requiring actionMaintain clear reporting around inspections, deficiencies and recurring quality issuesSupport preventative quality control by identifying gaps in Breezeway templates, recurring inspection failures, or standards inconsistencies across the portfolioSupport minor operational spot-fixes when reasonable and necessaryInventory & Consumables ManagementServe as a field feedback loop for housekeeping inventory and consumables, communicating supply needs, recurring shortages, or operational concerns to the Inventory Lead.Audit and verify the accurate removal and use of housekeeping consumables at properties, identifying discrepancies, missing inventory, or process inconsistencies for operational follow-upCollaborate with the Inventory Lead to identify operational opportunities for improved supply consistency and qualityFinancial Oversight & InvoicingAudit and review housekeeping invoices for accuracy and completeness prior to submission, ensuring billed work aligns with documented services and property standardsCompany Collaboration & CultureWork collaboratively across Operations, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and internal teams to support clear communication and operational follow-throughCommunicate inspection findings, recurring issues, and property concerns clearly and quicklyHelp reinforce a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and high standardsQualifications:Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and consistencyBilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus but not requiredAbility to lift 50 poundsAbility to travel between properties as needed, reliable personal vehicle requiredStrong communication skills and a positive attitudeComfortable working within spreadsheets and our task management software, Breezeway.Important: Applications will only be reviewed after the personality assessment is completed.
