It takes the imagination and passion of all of us—from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year—to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.\n\nJob Description\n\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:\n\nManufacturing Excellence & Continuous Improvement\n\nServe as the site's Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned manufacturing processes.\n\nProvide coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance to Process Engineers, Engineering Technicians, and Operations personnel.\n\nLead activities to track, analyze, and monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) across all manufacturing lines.\n\nIdentify improvement opportunities through OEE analysis and lead implementation of corrective and preventive actions.\n\nDrive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.\n\nSupport sustaining engineering and process improvement projects within manufacturing operations.\n\nUtilize data analytics and statistical methods to identify process trends and recommend improvements.\n\nActively participate in BD Excellence initiatives and continuous improvement programs.\n\nReview and approve engineering documentation, validation protocols, and technical assessments\n\nProcess Engineering & Operational Support\n\nServe as the Manufacturing Engineering representative and liaison for new product introductions, process transfers, equipment implementation, and manufacturing projects.\n\nEnsure manufacturing processes within the \"four walls\" of the El Paso facility are properly designed, developed, implemented, optimized, and documented.\n\nLead efforts to improve the flow of materials, processes, information, and personnel throughout manufacturing operations.\n\nDevelop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, standard operating procedures, and engineering specifications.\n\nProvide technical support to Production, Quality, Materials, Maintenance, and Operations teams.\n\nValidation & Regulatory Compliance\n\nLead and execute validation activities in compliance with FDA regulations, Quality System requirements, and company procedures.\n\nDevelop, execute, and approve validation protocols and reports including: Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), Performance Qualification (PQ), Computer System Validation (CSV),\n\nEnsure manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems remain in a validated state.\n\nSupport internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.\n\nProblem Solving & Root Cause Analysis\n\nServe as the technical lead for manufacturing floor problem-solving activities.\n\nFacilitate cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve process, equipment, quality, and productivity issues.\n\nUtilize structured problem-solving methodologies including DMAIC, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Fishbone Diagrams, and 5-Why techniques.\n\nSupport customer complaint investigations and corrective action implementation.\n\nCapacity Planning & Capital Projects\n\nEvaluate manufacturing capacity requirements based on production forecasts provided by Materials, Supply Chain, and Finance teams.\n\nDevelop and execute projects to increase manufacturing capacity and operational efficiency.\n\nPrepare capital expenditure requests, spending budgets, and financial justifications.\n\nCreate and submit capital authorization packages, including CB2 requests, for equipment and process improvements.\n\nManage equipment acquisition, installation, qualification, and startup activities.\n\nEquipment Reliability & Maintenance Support\n\nPartner with Maintenance to develop and improve preventive maintenance programs.\n\nLead equipment performance improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and uptime.\n\nSupport spare parts management activities to ensure critical equipment availability.\n\nParticipate in equipment troubleshooting and failure analysis.\n\nSafety, Compliance & Environmental Responsibilities\n\nPromote a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.\n\nEnsure manufacturing processes comply with EHS standards and regulatory requirements.\n\nIdentify and implement opportunities to improve workplace safety and ergonomics.\n\nEnsure proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements are established and followed for all process steps.\n\nParticipate in risk assessments and hazard mitigation activities.\n\nMinimum Requirement:\n\nBachelors degree in Engineering, required.\n\n3 years medical device manufacturing, preferred.\n\nWhy Join Us?\n\nTo find purpose in the possibilities, we need people who can see the bigger picture, who understand the human story that underpins everything we do.
