Regularly exercises discretion and in performing duties directly related to the general operation of product quality control.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nProvide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.\nCheck produce in slots on a daily basis to make a certain product that is set up for shipping is up to acceptable standards\nCommunicate regularly with necessary parties on the company's status on product quality\nCommunicate with Inventory Control Manager or Compliance Manager and buyers all quality issues and assists them in resolving them to ensure the customer receives the highest quality products possible\nMonitor variance reports for accurate accounting of spoilage, warehouse damage, truck damage, etc.\nInspect inbound freight, warehoused product, and/or outbound product and document product condition\nAnalyze, identify, and propose action to the solution of problems associated with Quality Assurance\nObserve all safety rules, regulations, and sanitation policies\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)\n\nExperience\nPrior warehouse, inventory control or merchandising experience.\n\nSkills\nProficient in Microsoft Office, effective written/oral communication skills, strong analytical skills\n\nDecision Making Authority\nMost important decisions made fully independently:\nVerifies put-away and transfer process performed by the day and night warehouse personnel.\n\nMost important decisions made with review and approval of other individuals or supervisors (include the reviews/approvals required):\nShrink issues\n\nOVERVIEW:\n\nSysco is the global leader in foodservice distribution.
