Must be able to follow other internal procedures and inventory systems as necessary. Must be able to use general material handling equipment such as forklifts and other non-specific equipment. Must emphasize quality of work and demonstrate workmanship in skills such as soldering, hardware use, etc. Other non-specific duties and responsibilities a supervisor may require of the employee.\n\n*REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*\n\n*Education and Experience:*\n\n1. Associate’s Degree equivalent or higher, OR currently enrolled and working towards Associate’s Degree equivalent or higher OR prior experience deemed relevant by Odyssey Technical Solutions.\n\n2. Two years related experience preferred. Employee must have a technical background, but may start in this position with little to no experience required. Employee must demonstrate basic electronic ability, knowledge, and aptitude. (Additional training will be provided upon hire.)\n\n3. Any equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered.\n\n4. Must have a valid driver’s license by date of hire.\n\n*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:*\n\nResponsibilities include assembly of electrical and electro-mechanical products for internal use in the repair of customer equipment.\n\nAssembler must be proficient in:\n\n* Comprehending electronic schematics.\n* Setting up and using Test Equipment such as a Power Supply, DVM, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, etc.\n* Soldering and de-soldering electronic components of various types.\n* Work with an emphasis on quality of workmanship.\n* Other non-specific duties and responsibilities a supervisor may require of the employee.\n* Communicates and listens effectively in a professional and courteous manner. Good attention to detail and organizational skills (work neatly.)\n* Manually install electronic/mechanical components and jumper wires according to knowledge of unit being assembled by following written directions and/or drawings and/or schematics.\n* Create soldered connections to applicable quality standards. Utilizes small hand tools for positioning parts to assist in assembly operation, stripping wire, forming leads.\n* Work in compliance with IPC, OSHA and MSDS safety policies.\n\n*· *Ability to solve minor problems and recognize bigger problems that require supervisor assistance.\n\n*TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED*\n\nPersonal computer, including word processing and permitting software; motor vehicle, telephone, cell phone, laptop, ladder or scaffolding, tape measure, and appropriate safety equipment.\n\n*PHYSICAL DEMANDS*\n\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\n\nWork is performed mostly in indoor settings. Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate various pieces of office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear.\n\nThe employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
