Position:Help Desk Support, DeskSide JWICS SupportLocation:Alexandria, VAWork Environment:On-siteClearance Required:SecretStatus:FundedInfo Gain Consulting is currently seeking an exceptional Billing Specialist - Telecom/Wireless to join our team and provide invaluable support to the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG) Information Technology Support Services contract.To be eligible for this position, candidates must have a Secret clearance and possess U.S. Citizenship without the need for sponsorship, both now and in the future. Applicants without proof of U.S. Citizenship will not be considered due to the position's security clearance requirements.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist with managing and maintaining a database of telecommunications, data, and wireless DoD OIG invoicesReview and audit telecommunications, data, and wireless DoD OIG bills for discrepancies, billing errors, and excessive usageProvide recommendations for cost savings and avoidance based on working knowledge and observation of DoD OIG billsConduct business process improvement with internal controls, financial statement reporting, and audit complianceEngage collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure adherence to applicable law, policy, and proceduresParticipate in meetings, assist in managing financial resources, and prepare briefingsUse information gathered to recommend the application of budgetary policies and procedures with the goal of a clean audit opinionReview telecommunication bills and report discrepanciesProvide monthly reports due on the first day of the month for the previous month's servicesAnalyze billing trends and identify opportunities for cost optimizationMaintain accurate records of all telecommunications expenses and vendor contractsCoordinate with telecommunications vendors to resolve billing disputes and service issuesEnsure compliance with DoD and federal telecommunications policies and regulationsTrack and monitor telecommunications usage patterns across the organizationPrepare financial reports and presentations for management reviewTravel may be required within the Continental United States (CONUS) and the National Capital Region (NCR)Required QualificationsMinimum 3 to 5 years of experience in telecommunications billing, invoice management, or financial analysisExperience reviewing and auditing telecommunications, data, and wireless bills for discrepancies and billing errorsExperience managing and maintaining databases of invoices and financial recordsExperience with cost analysis and identifying cost savings opportunitiesExperience with business process improvement and internal controlsExperience with financial statement reporting and audit complianceStrong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracyExperience engaging with stakeholders and ensuring adherence to applicable laws, policies, and proceduresExperience preparing financial reports, briefings, and presentationsProficiency with Microsoft Excel and database management toolsStrong written and verbal communication skillsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experienceActive Secret security clearance or ability to obtain oneUnited States Citizenship requiredPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting DoD or federal government customersExperience with DoD telecommunications billing systems and processesExperience with federal budgetary policies and proceduresExperience with audit preparation and supporting clean audit opinionsKnowledge of telecommunications industry billing practices and standardsExperience with vendor management and contract negotiationExperience with telecommunications usage analysis and trend reportingFamiliarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and telecommunications-related regulationsCertified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) or similar financial certificationExperience with telecommunications expense management softwareKnowledge of wireless communications technologies and servicesBenefits Health (Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) & High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP)) Insurance, Dental, Vision, Short-Term Disability (STD) & Long-Term Disability (LTD), Basic Life Insurance, 401k Company Match, & Voluntary Products.Info Gain Consulting is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all individuals based on merit and qualifications.
