This is a remote opportunity with flexible hours (up to 20 per week).\r\nResponsibilities Writing quiz questions and practice exam questions in the style of NCEES examinations.\r\nWriting or editing content in the disciplines of civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, environmental, or chemical engineering.\r\nWriting for Fundamentals of Engineering (FE), PE Structural (SE), or Principles of Practice of Engineering (PE) level examinations.\r\nQuality assurance reviews, technical reviews, and erratum correction.\r\nContributing to suggested study plans, and providing feedback on customer expectations for study and preparation.\r\nSkill Requirements Excellent command of the English language – both verbal and written.\r\nHave taken the computer based testing (CBT) format of any exam they wish to contribute to.\r\nPossess an active PE certification issued by NCEES in the discipline they wish to contribute to.\r\nExceptional attention to detail, organization skills, and time management skills.\r\nProvide prompt and responsive communication, mostly by email.\r\nOccasional video chat meetings during business hours may be required.\r\nHighly motivated and take initiative proactively.\r\nReceptive to feedback, meet deadlines, and take accountability for deliverables.\r\nPreferred Skills Experience tutoring/mentoring/educating engineering students or colleagues.\r\nExperience creating multiple-choice questions, study materials, PowerPoint presentations or other similar content.\r\nHours & Employment This is a contract (1099) position. Projects will be assigned via separate contracts with discrete schedules and deliverables.
