We believe that blockchain and digital asset innovation will transform how value moves through the world – and we're building the products and services to make that future a reality.\n\nOur institutional digital assets platform spans trading, investment banking, asset management, staking, self-custody, and tokenization technology. We also invest in and operate cutting-edge data center infrastructure to power AI and high-performance computing, addressing the growing demand for scalable energy and compute in the U.S.\n\nWe work at the intersection of finance and technology, helping institutions, startups, and developers navigate a digitally native economy. Led by CEO and Founder Michael Novogratz, our team blends deep crypto expertise with institutional experience and a shared commitment to shaping the future of Web3 and AI.\n\nGalaxy is headquartered in New York City, with offices across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.\n\nTo learn more about our businesses and products, visit www.galaxy.com.\nWhat We Value:\nWe are a diverse team of free thinkers, and fast movers united to help investors and creators energize the global economy. We are looking for individuals who thrive in a culture of builders and overachievers and embrace high performance, transparent feedback, and a mission-first approach. Our culture shapes our way of working and gets us where we want to be.\nSeek Excellence.\nBe Selective To Be Effective.\nBe Highly Aligned, Loosely Coupled.\nDisagree Transparently.\nEncourage Independent Decision-Making.\nBuild Dream Teams.\nWho You Are:\nAs a Senior Platform Engineer, you'll own the infrastructure that runs institutional-grade blockchain operations — with particular depth in Ethereum validator infrastructure, consensus and execution client operations, and the platform layer that makes all of it reliable, observable, and scalable.\nThis isn't a role where blockchain is adjacent to the real work. Validator clusters, client diversity, MEV infrastructure, slashing protection, and the operationalcomplexity of running Ethereum at institutional scale are core to what you'll buildand maintain. That sits alongside the broader platform stack: Kubernetes (EKS,GitOps with FluxCD), AWS, Kafka, secrets and key management (KMS/HSM,MPC), Postgres, and the observability layer. You'll also work closely with clients —understanding their systems, translating requirements into platform capabilities, and collaborating on integrations.\nWhat You'll Do:\nOwn and operate Ethereum validator infrastructure at scale — consensus clients (Lighthouse, Prysm, Teku, Nimbus), execution clients (Geth,Nethermind, Besu, Reth), and the tooling that keeps them healthy, diverse, and performant.\nBuild and maintain the platform layer underneath validator operations: cluster lifecycle management, client upgrades, peer connectivity, fork tracking, and the observability stack that surfaces what matters.\nManage slashing protection, key management, and signer infrastructure (Web3Signer, distributed validators, HSM/MPC-backed signing) at the level of rigor institutional staking demands.\nHarden shared platform infrastructure: EKS environments, GitOps pipelines, secrets management, networking, CI/CD, and the data plane.\nPartner closely with clients on integration work across staking, tokenization, DeFi, and validator engagements. Translate their constraints into platform requirements and ship the code that closes the gap.\nGeneralize patterns from client work into reusable platform capabilities — so the next engagement doesn't start from zero.\nOperate production systems where the failure mode is institutional money and reputation. On-call, incident response, post mortems.\nContribute to architecture decisions across modules — staking, MPC quorum coordination, policy engine, vaults.\nWhat We're Looking For:\nSubstantial experience building and operating distributed systems in production, ideally where reliability and security are first-class concerns.\nDeep comfort with the modern infrastructure stack: Kubernetes, AWS (or equivalent), infrastructure-as-code, GitOps, observability tooling, CI/CD.\nStrong software engineering fundamentals in at least one systems-capable language (Go, Rust, Python, TypeScript — what you've shipped matters more than which).\nExperience operating systems that hold or move value — custody, payments, exchanges, key management, HSMs, MPC — or a clear track record in adjacent high-stakes domains.\nComfort being customer-facing. You'll sit with client engineers, understand their constraints, and ship into their environment. Strong written and verbal communication.\nHigh agency. We operate decentralized command — squad leads own within their mandate. You should be the kind of engineer who finds the work, not the kind who waits for it.\nFor staff candidates: a track record of setting technical direction across multiple teams or engagements, and of growing the engineers around you.\nBonus Points:\nExperience with MEV infrastructure — mev-boost, relay operation,builder/proposer separation, and its implications for validator profitability and performance.\nBroader multi-chain infrastructure experience: Solana, Cosmos-SDK chains, L2s, or other PoS networks with their own client ecosystems.\nExperience with distributed validator technology (DVT) — Obol, SSV, or similar.\nExperience with MPC, threshold signing, or secure enclaves (Nitro, SGX) in production.\nFamiliarity with tokenization or DeFi protocol integration at the infrastructure level.\nWhat We Offer:\nCompetitive base salary and discretionary bonus\nHybrid/Flexible Working Arrangements\nFlexible Time Off (paid)\n3% 401(k) company contribution\nCompany-paid health and protective benefits for employees, partners, and other dependents\nGenerous paid Parental Leave\nCompetitive family planning benefits for US employees\nOpportunities to learn about the Crypto industry\nSmart, entrepreneurial, and fun colleagues\nFree daily snacks and weekly breakfasts/lunches\nEmployee Resource Groups\nFree coaching and counseling sessions through Headspace\nApply now and join us on our mission to engineer a new economic paradigm.\nGalaxy respects diversity and seeks to provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and job applicants for employment without regard to actual or perceived age, race, color, creed, religion, sex or gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, lactation and related medical conditions), gender identity or gender expression (including transgender status), sexual orientation, marital or partnership or caregiver status, ancestry, national origin, citizenship status, disability, military or veteran status, protected medical condition as defined by applicable state or local law, genetic information or predisposing genetic characteristic, or other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws and ordinances.\nWe will endeavor to make a reasonable accommodation to the known limitations of a qualified applicant with a disability unless the accommodation would impose an undue hardship on the operation of our business.
