Seasonal IT Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Full-time, temporary position under the general direction of Director of Information Technology and Election Systems. Performs skilled professional work in the management and operation of IT department related duties.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs professional and technical work installing, maintaining, and supporting voting equipment, desktop computers and network equipment.
End-user hardware and software support in a windows-based environment.
Quality control testing of voting equipment.
Troubleshoot voting equipment, desktop workstations and related hardware.
Work long hours and weekends at peak times.
May be assigned to an Early Voting site for onsite IT support.
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work with minimum direction and as a team player
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Capable of using discretion and judgement in carrying out job duties
Flexibility/Ability to work with all elections departments effectively to support additional projects and workload as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of three years of technical computer experience with Windows Operating Systems
Minimum of three years of experience with MS Office Suite
Minimum of three years of experience with desktop computer installation
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a registered voter in Florida
Possession of a valid Florida Drivers’ License
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to stand for full workday
Able to bend, stoop, reach throughout the workday
Able to lift, push, pull, up to 50 pounds frequently
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 60 per week
Schedule:
8 hour shift
