The Material Handler role comes with a $2,500 Sign-On bonus.\n\nSummary: Performs a variety of material handling functions to load, unload trailers and move materials within the plant. Capable of working with inventory control through utilization of ERP/MRP software. Familiar with and capable of using various types of lifting equipment. Required to perform other miscellaneous tasks as supervision deems necessary.\n\n ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)\n\nStudies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.\nOversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.\nDetermines space requirements and position of shipment on trucks.\nReceives incoming inventory into business system and follows company processes to place items into inventory.\nInspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, and seals loaded truck doors as needed.\nInspects equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel.\nDirects movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.\nPosts weight and shipping charges and prepares bills of lading, as needed.\nMaintains and restocks the warehouse or parts cage while adjusting for errors.\nReads and interprets blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific material requirements.\nObtains and maintains active forklift certification.\nUses a variety of hand tools and material handling machines.\nPerforms cycle counts as required.\nUtilizes scanning devices and technology to process inventory movements within the business system.\nCompletes all weekly, daily, and monthly 5S tasks.\n\nAt Fast Global Solutions, our core values are to KNOW & SERVE OUR CUSTOMERS, BUILD TRUST, FIND A BETTER WAY and have GRIT.
