Job Title: Senior Site Safety Manager (Renewable Energy Infrastructure)Role OverviewWe are seeking a high-caliber, field-tested Senior Site Safety Manager to take absolute operational ownership of environmental health and safety (EHS) execution on our utility-scale renewable energy projects. In this senior leadership role, you will be the primary technical authority on the ground, directing site teams through the implementation of comprehensive, project-specific safety plans across complex civil and electrical scopes (including utility-scale solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and wind infrastructure).You will act as a strategic advisor to project executives, supervise subcontractor compliance, and mentor field staff to drive proactive hazard elimination and maintain a zero-incident work environment. The ideal candidate balances strong field authority with an expert understanding of heavy electrical standards and quantitative safety metrics.Key ResponsibilitiesSenior EHS Leadership & Hazard MitigationSafety Architecture: Author, implement, and audit comprehensive site-specific Project Safety Plans and strategic safety operational roadmaps.Risk Isolation: Partner with project directors, superintendents, and engineering leads to evaluate oncoming project phases, analyze high-risk variables, and deploy immediate hazard prevention strategies.Site Auditing & Subcontractor Care: Direct rigorous, daily jobsite safety audits; monitor subcontractor crews and aggressively enforce corrective actions for any identified safety deviations.Continuous Improvement: Design and execute site-wide continuous improvement initiatives to optimize safety performance, regulatory compliance, and worker behavioral patterns.Compliance, Investigations & Quantitative ReportingTechnical Standards: Ensure absolute regulatory alignment with all federal, state, and local mandates, applying an expert working knowledge of high-voltage and industrial construction standards (NFPA, NESC, ASTM, and ANSI).Root-Cause Analysis: Lead advanced incident and near-miss investigations, formulating objective forensic findings and implementing immediate preventative measures.Metrics Governance: Compile and submit high-level weekly safety dossiers, tracking performance data and analyzing Total Case Incident Rates (TCIR) for executive leadership review. Field Engagement, Mentorship & TrainingOperational Mentorship: Provide senior-level safety coaching, technical guidance, and operational mentorship to onsite safety coordinators, engineers, and field supervisors.Training Cadence: Direct utility-scale safety orientations, cultivate high-engagement weekly toolbox talks, and facilitate advanced safety training modules. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum QualificationsExperience Baseline:Minimum of ten (10) years of dedicated construction safety (EHS) experience.Minimum of five (5) years of active EHS experience specifically within renewable energy construction (utility-scale solar, battery storage, or wind infrastructure builds).Certifications & Licensure:Valid OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.Active CPR/First Aid certification (Trainer designation preferred).Valid state-issued driver's license with a satisfactory driving record (MVR check required). Education: High School Diploma or GED required. A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
